Christmas
Party
Dick provided the
following information, pertaining to the December Christmas Party. Please respond per Dick’s request, below:
Our Christmas party is scheduled
for Friday December 11, 5:30-8:00 in the press room at the downtown Food City.
This room has an outside entrance.
Only club members, guests and
Food City employees will be in the room. As of now masks are required as is
social distancing, with no more than six to a large table. Tables are spaced 6
feet apart.
The menu is: Turkey with dressing
with 2 sides, dessert and beverage. This will cost approximately $16.00.
Due to the facts that there is
limited seating and we must pay for the number we say will be attending
(whether they show up or not) we MUST HAVE an accurate count.

by November 20 if you will or will not be attending. We also need to know if
you are bringing a guest.

Meeting
It was the consensus of opinion,
at the October gathering, that future gatherings should be held at Golden
Corral. They are expecting us to be there Nov.12. They will put us in the area
behind the ice cream machine.

The powerglide
in Kathy Vicars' Chevy II stopped shifting into high. Sid found the culprit, a
broken vacuum modulator, now the old deuce is working well.
After several trouble-free miles,
the serpentine belt on Perry Stapleton's Chevy II started shredding and turning
inside out. Perry has replaced a tensioner/idler
pulley. So far, so good.
Gary Price is in the final stages
of preparing to move to his new garage, and home.
Don Hughes has put the old
interior back in his '39 Chevrolet so he can make sure it is a keeper before
getting a new one. So far he is happy.
David Baker bought a ’75 Chevy long
bed pickup with 454.
